There is nothing I love more than being home. Home is where we bring our babies to for the first time. Home is where we say prayers and tuck children safely into bed. Home is where we long to be after a long day or an extended trip. Home is where we collapse in a puddle of tears when nothing is going our way. Home is where you can figure things out-- who you are, what you want to be, and where you fit in the world. Home is where you are surrounded by the people who love you the most and who forgive you day after day. Home is a retreat, a party, a destination. As a Navy family, home has traveled with us from duty station to duty station and we have learned that home is far more than walls and furniture. Home is an attitude. Home is the people who greet you when you walk in the door and the familiar routines you naturally fall in to. As a beginning (and highly inexperienced) photographer, I desire to capture those images that bring the sounds and smells of home alive.
